Can Passive Cannabis Smoking Show Up In A Blood/ Urine Test?

I have never smoked the stuff directly myself but have spent most of my teenage years in parties where the air is thick with the stuff (I was always the boring one).
I have military selection coming up, and have told them exactly the same, but still worry that it might show me up as a ‘user’- does anyone have any experience of this? Thanks.

  1. Unless you have been in an enclosed space with heavy smoke, like in a car, I wouldn’t worry about it. Even in the heaviest users, cannabis will wash out of the system in a month. So in your case, I would give it a week at most. So don’t worry about it.
By the way, congratulations on your decision not to do drugs as well as your decision to serve!

  2. It only stays in your system a short time, so dont worry.
if you do test positive say you had a headache the night before and took some Nurofen.
Iburprofen tests the same as Cannabis.

  5. It might well show up, like all forms of passive smoking it does have a detectable effect. However, in terms of routine testing if you avoid exposure totally for a month you should be negative.

  6. If there are small traces say you have been using ibruprophen as apparently this can confuse the tests and show positve for cannabis.
