Can Someone Legally Smoke Cannabis On Religious Grounds?
I belong to a church called “The Church of the Dark Lotus” we gather i a month every month. The church has been around since 2001 and we are wondering if we can legally smoke on religious grounds. If i had everyone in the church sign a petition (thats a lot of people) would that make a difference? If it helps any we are in Arkansas

Except for a few exceptions, no. Some Native Americans can use hallucinogens, but as I said, this is the exception. Even the Rastafarians, for whom pot is a sacred drug, cannot circumvent this law.

I doubt your game plan would work. But if you sit down on Holy Ground. Let’s say a graveyard next to a church and light up a joint I’m sure the answer will come to you:)

For religious purposes it does. Indians can use peyote and mescaline for religion.

No, your right to freedom of expression does not cover smoking illegal drugs.
Why not consider moving to CA?
