Colorado Voters: Vote Yes On 44 (marijuana Legalization)?
Amendment 44 legalized up to an ounce of marijuana for adults 21 and older. Everyone already knows that marijuana is safer then alcohol and if people would be stoned rather then drunk it would be safer. Alcohol makes some people violent but marijuana makes no one violent it would help reduce crime rates and free up law enforcement to focus on more serious offenses. Most people who oppose marijuana use have never tried it they just heard that it is bad and think it’s an evil drug when in reality it is a plant that is easily grown. Please don’t post answers saying marijuana is bad if you have never smoked it because you have no way of knowing what marijuana does.

This is definitely one of those areas where the government should keep it’s fat nose out of peoples business… How would let’s say, Protestants like it if their religion was outlawed, just because they couldn’t get 50% of the votes to keep it legal?.. Our religion, what we put into our bodies and a lot of other areas of our lives are none of anyone’s business.

“The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this.” – Albert Einstein 1921
“Congress should definitely consider decriminalizing possession of marijuana… We should concentrate on prosecuting the rapists and burglars who are a menace to society.” – Dan Quayle
Our forefathers grew it and the people today should have the same rights as they did. To me it’s not a question of health it’s a question ultimately of liberty vs tyranny. Which will we choose?

Valid medicinal value, it’s a victimless crime, the War on Drugs WAY too costly, too many arrests for simple possession, tax it and use the money to pay for health insurance and to reduce the deficit…Need I say more?
