Not smoking is what is causing the irritability. If he isn’t smoking when he’s with you, his body and brain want to. That is why he acts that way.

I personally have no research to back up what I am going to say…just personal experience so take it with a grain of salt hon.
I noticed that it’s not so much that I get irritable but if someone irritates me then they irritate me more than usual. Such as, if my friend comes and knocks my juice over I’d normally say get a towel and clean it up but if I’ve just blazed I’ll get pissed at him. It just makes you over react a tad bit. It isn’t a long-term thing though. Try not to nag him…girls can be so naggy all the time…

I have had this EXACT problem with one of my ex-girlfriends, except i was always smoking with her. Some people who have addictive personalities can be mentally addicted to marijuana despite common belief. A mental addiction is nothing serious at all, it wont hurt him and it wont ruin his life at all but when he goes without smoking he will have a tendency to become very agitated at the slightest things because his mind is not used to dealing with things sober. My ex got to a point where i had to break up with her because she was driving me crazy and no matter what i said she would not stop smoking for 1 day. It really has nothing to do with you and is just his mentality (trust me i know how annoying it gets with people who act this way) the only advice i can give you is sit him down one on one and discuss your feelings on the matter with him and ask him if he could go two weeks without smoking, if nothing has changed over those two weeks then he might just have an underlying mental issue he is not dealing with and his use of pot pushes the feelings he doesnt want to think about out of his mind and then the only form of help he can receive is some sort of psychiatric help or even just a family counselor. Do not beat yourself up over it like i did, it has nothing to do with you, but if you care about him enough to want to work this out with him you gotta lay it out on the table for him.
