Don’t You Find It Odd That Many Illegal Drugs Are Just Plants?
When you consider the examples of marijuana, cocaine, and opium coming from nothing more than some leafy thing in the wild, doesn’t it seem strange to you that they are considered so “evil?” I mean, are we supposed to put shackles on a horse for muching a coca leaf? And, why criminalize something that grows in nature? You can buy many other ethenogens online legally that produce drug-like “highs.” The more I think about it, the more rediculous our regulations on things like weed seem.
These things are illegal because someone decided they have no medicinal purpose. However, they failed to mention that alcohol is far worse on your system that some of these forbidden “drugs”. They tried to outlaw alcohol too back in the days of the prohibition, but the people revolted and the government gave up. If people want weed to be legalized they should just protest, keep smoking, and eventually the government will get tired of the fight.
Personally I think the harder drugs like cocaine and opium should be illegal, because there are too many stupid people out there who can’t control themselves. And they’re not entirely natural, they’re processed. Weed isn’t processed… it’s cut, dried, and smoked. Things like cocaine do come from a leafy plant but they are so altered it’s just not the same. And alcohol is just as bad. We don’t get trashed and beat up random people at a bar before crashing our car on the way home from eating grains… we do this when under the influence of alcohol that’s been processed from grains to produce a certain effect. The truth is, no matter how upset you or I (or anyone else for that matter) gets over weed still being illegal there isn’t much we can do about it. I don’t find it odd that these things are illegal, stupid yes but not odd… the general public is to stupid to know when to say enough is enough, and the few of us smart ones get grouped in with the rest of the idiots under the so called “protection” of the government. By keeping drugs illegal, limiting the distribution of alcohol, and jacking with our cigarette prices the government is only trying to control us. Get over it or move to a better country. Personally I favor Canada… care to join me?
