MMJ Spots

I think it was some time in november (this might help with the answer as it might not be the right period or even possible for one of them to grow in the weather conditions as it was quite cold)it was at the side of the road at the very edge of a field (but it wasnt a full field) and they were a little bit dry…i dont know exactly how many of them there were but at the very most 10-15 plants….from what i know if it was hemp it would have spread much farther by now and more than likely would have covered the whole field by now (sumthing i read about hemp)…is there any other way of me being able to tell if it was marijuana or hemp?…obviously apart from smoking it:))…i think the plants height was at the very most 1 meter 70…probably less but just thought i would give a maxum to maybe help with any answers…or is there another plant that looks exactly like it but isnt it or hemp? thank you
