Is It Ok To Study Botany Because You Love To Grow Marijuana?
I have many interests, but i really dont know what path to take in college.. Im a military veteran and an aircraft mechanic the past seven years but i recently gave it all up to go back to school and get my education, but the problem is i dont know what to study? I ve narrowed my interests down to political science and botany. I only really am interested in botany because i am a connosieur cannabis smoker/cultivator…So I ask is it ok to study botany just because I have a love and passion for cannabis?

I have the desire to become a botanist also due to marijuana cultivation…i breed strains which auto flower and grow only to 16″-20″ mature, so you can grow them in a computer case. Check out http://www.pcgrowcase.com

Basing your life study on your passion for a drug is certainly not recommended. Cannabis is not the only plant there is in the study of botany. You will have to learn about hundreds upon thousands of sorts of plants. Are you prepared for that? There isn’t a college class on marijuana cultivation, as far as I know.

yes its good , but the bad thing is that you will use marijuana for something bad.

I am a freshman in the Plant Biology (botany) and International Studies majors here at NC State. Do you know what I love? I love traveling, international affairs and doing field work with plants. Do you know what plant is grown all over the world? Marijuana. I love marijuana for smoking but besides this point there is a whole world of opportunities involving ethnobotany, the study of the plants that have influenced human culture. Marijuan, and admittedly several other plants, fit into this category. I understand I will be working with other plans, and I welcome the situation, but do not think you have to be forced to be a jack of all trades by being a botanist. From what I have learned from botanists, professors, and advisors, the most successful botanist is the one who can specialize and combine his interests with his work. On my leaving, I will give you one last thing to think about. All of these negative replies show you the fear of interest in your field, meaning few have stepped up to the very real need for well educated botanists specialized in marijuana, which itself has many strains. Do yourself, and the marijuana smoking community a favor and become someone who can cut through the bullshit of modern marijuana growing and dispensing. BECOME AN EXPERT YOURSELF, not just relying on the descriptions and street names used by your supplier for the marijuana you use. The biggest dilemma within the marijuana supporting community is ignorance about the genetics, characteristics, and nomenclature of the plant we all love. Go For your plans, it will make you happy in the long run.
