No way. Minor offenses are usually met with a blind eye but it is far from a pot smoker’s paradise.

No, it’s not true. It’s a little bit more liberal than in the US in that there is no three strike law, but if you’re caught smoking pot they will still take it off of you and it will still go on your record and if they think that you’re a dealer you will still go to jail.
You just won’t be locked up for life with the pedophiles, murderers and gang members for smoking a joint a couple of times.
This is how it is in most of the rest of the world. It’s not that things are lax in Canada, it’s just that America is insanely stupid about drugs and prefers jail to rehab as a means of getting addicts off of the streets.

Pretty much, cops aren’t very strict with pot smoking. Sometimes if they catch you they will take your pot away.
There are hooka lounges that allow you to smoke weed inside them, of course you have to provide your own weed.
On 420, at the downtown art gallery hundreds of people go and just blaze, it’s like a haze of smoke everywhere. And the cops do nothing but manage the streets so people can still drive through.

Yeah, just what we need – more zoned out dopers. If cannabis activists want to be taken seriously, maybe you could get some credible spokespersons, and not Joe 4:20 who flashes up a giant spliff on the six o’clock news and speaks with an apparent IQ in the single digit range.

Pretty much. Downtown Eastside has had all those cases of doing drugs, yet it hasn’t stopped yet.
There was even this party called “BC Marijuana Party”, where they’re trying to make cannabis legal. XD
