Legalize Marijuana Now!?

Every day people ask questions here about legalizing marijuana but no one does anything about it. Is that because you are busy getting high and watching cartoons? (sorry, couldn’t resist).
I have to say that, to me, this is more a matter of priorities than anything else. If we could legalize marijuana and convice those who grow opium poppies to produce marijuana instead of opium, we would be much better off. Can we convince our politicians of this?
Just to be sure that people understand what I am saying, I also think that it is a matter of what the government should tell us to do. It is a freedom issue for me.
(I am sure the bush administration will be tapping my phone calls from now on LOL).

  1. Hmmm… I was going to answer this question, but forgot what I was going to say.

Yeah, it should be legalized, if for no other reason but to make room in our prison system for child molesters. You are 100% correct… it is a matter of priorities. Apparently, our Nation’s priorities are not about taking care of our children.
There is way too much money being made in the black market to legalize pot. It’s all about the bucks!

  2. I couldn’t agree with you more. I can honestly say that I have NEVER tried it, BUT there is so many things that you can do with hemp (which is what it was originally called).
Hemp makes people so much more mellow and alcohol does just the opposite. And WHICH one is legal to have?

  4. Why? So more people can drive under the influence of a controlled substance.
