I couldn’t agree with you more. I can honestly say that I have NEVER tried it, BUT there is so many things that you can do with hemp (which is what it was originally called).
Hemp makes people so much more mellow and alcohol does just the opposite. And WHICH one is legal to have?

Hmmm… I was going to answer this question, but forgot what I was going to say.

Yeah, it should be legalized, if for no other reason but to make room in our prison system for child molesters. You are 100% correct… it is a matter of priorities. Apparently, our Nation’s priorities are not about taking care of our children.
There is way too much money being made in the black market to legalize pot. It’s all about the bucks!

Well there would be a lot less crabby people in this world, thats for sure, but the government makes too much money off this, just think of how many people they would have to let out of prison who are locked up for pot, and a murder gets let out early cause they are so overcrowded, people should make a huge batch of brownies and mail it to all the government, see how many of them stop being such greedy self centered butt holes!! LOL But then we would also be pissing off all the people who hate smoking ciggerettes to, can you imagine the responses you would get if they legalized pot. Good Luck

It IS completely stupid and wrong,isn’t it?
I truly don’t know why this hasn’t happened. The only people to gain from keeping it illegal are those who profit by its illegality (that is, who profit most by selling it).
Yes, it’s a liberty issue. Why does the government have the right to tell me what forms of recreation I’m allowed to enjoy?
And there is absolutely no logic to which drugs are legal and which illegal.
But even with the dangerous drugs, the law is NOT the way to deal with a health problem.

The reason why we will never legalize marijuana is because the local, state, and federal government makes millions of dollars each year on busts, raids and arrests. Yet, we put these non-violent so-called criminals in jail and responsible tax payers have to cough up the funds to take care of them. It’s a big scam in my opinion.

Legalize it so it can be taxed just like alcohol & tobacco. Lets a lot more vacancies in prison for people who are the real problems here, the tax evaders.
Also, lets stop with the airport stuff. If I were a terrorist, think I would do it again with a plane? Hello!
As long as we are “fixing” things, lets ban STD’s by ridding babies of their sexuality altogether. We have drugs that make ya feel better than sex, and who cares if there aren’t anymore kids? Means a lot more $$ for us!
Besides, India, China, & third world countries are always going to have them, and obviously they don’t care as they screw themselves out of a place at the dinner table without a problem.
If they show hostility towards us, hey, that’s what the bombs are for, right?

I think it should be legal, and I am a non-user, and a conservative. I think we spend way to much on another victimless crime, and that we haven’t put a dent in prevention with all the money spent. I would rather see drug interdiction stop and border control begin.
