My Friend Is 8 Weeks Pregnant And She Smokes Marijuana, I Think It’s Unsafe What Do You Think?
i am 6 months pregnant and i would never do any drug or smoke anything while i know there is a life growing in me… but my friend who was a big partier up until last week when she found out she was pregnant, she was drinking and smoking… up until last week when she found out she was 7 weeks pregnant she quite everything except smoking weed, and she knows that i think its wrong for her to do so, but she says that she’s going to quit just not right now…i don’t think she will quit at all, and i have heard a lot of people say that it is okay to smoke weed while your pregnant but i would never be able to imagine taking that chance with an innocent life…what do you think, is it safe? Have you known anyone that has done this? have you heard any bad stories about this?good ones? i just want to know?

In some studies i have read that smoking weed is not healthy for the baby, but to be honest i know at least three females that smoked weed their first trimester, and they have healthy beautiful babies

I recomend asking her or just sitting down with her and telling what you think. Not only that but if she is a really good friend and so are you …you will both listen to eachother and help any way you can. Good luck and I hope for her baby’s life and her own that she makes the right choice.

That is very harmful to the baby and if you are concerned maybe you need to tell her doctor since she won’t quit. She’s an adult and can do what she wants but once she became pregnant, she has to learn it’s not all about her anymore. Tell her to grow the f*ck up!!!

The unborn baby is being fed this junk.If the baby survives
it will have the symptoms of the marijuana.
I once saw a documentary about a baby who was born to a crack addicted mum and i’ll never forget that high pitched shreik and redness in that baby’s face as it screamed.
I’m not saying your friend is on this harder drug but what i’m saying is that the baby will be born addicted to marijuana just like the mum.Right now she doesn’t deserve this baby and needs to seek help before that baby is miscarried or born with some very serious birth defects.

I know a girl that did the same thing. Her baby was born healthy, luckly, but at full term was only 5 lbs. Same with everyone else I know who smoked the whole time they were pregnant. Babies all had low birth weight.

The only known risk is from the smoke itself — inhaling smoke of any kind can affect the baby’s growth.

What sort of irresponsible person is she?!It is very unsafe, especially at the first trimester as the baby is developing its brain, organs etc,if she is smokong weed then the baby is too and this could give the baby severe birth abnormalities, brain damage etc.Im 36 weeks pregnant and i have stopped and the day i found out i stopped smoking and drinking, what the hell is 9months out of her whole life?its selfish and she should stop NOW!

Your friend is in total denial if she thinks that smoking weed cannot harm her fetus. Any effects that the mother feels or has from smoking weed all the way up to just taking cough medicine that early on especially, the fetus feels as well. The first three months are the most delicate time of pregnancy, as the baby will be developing the brain and heart, ect. I knew someone long ago who smoked marijuana and took pills and her baby was born extremely underweight and has had learning disabilites. She refused to attribute it to her smoking during pregnancy, but who knows? The point is that you dont know how it will affect your baby so why would you even take that chance? It is incredidle how some women can continue doing that stuff even after they find out they have a baby growing inside them. Just continue to really support her in stopping and research some stuff online about the negative effects and help her to stop for not only the babys well being but for her own as well. Good luck and congrats on your baby as well!! : )
