Should I Stop Doing Marijuana?
I started smoking about two months ago, and I smoke only when in the company of friends who I’ve met recently. I don’t do it that often and I see so negative consequences of doing it.
For those who say that it’s illegal and that that should be enough, I have no regard for the law in this aspect as further research will show you that its reasons be being illegalized are shady. Hemp causes less harm than tobacco. The only reason it was ever outlawed in the words of Noam Chomsky: “One might ask why tobacco is legal and marijuana not. A possible answer is suggested by the nature of the crop. Marijuana can be grown almost anywhere, with little difficulty. It might not be easily marketable by major corporations. Tobacco is quite another story.”
I’m pretty sure he has a stash too lolz.
Jokes aside, give me a good argument to not do it… Because quite frankly, I see none.
Thanks.
And for those paranoid freaks saying that they’d report me for admitting this and so on and so forth; I can’t be charged unless I’m carrying

The truth is, marijuana is just like alcohol; some can handle the responsibility and some can’t. Now first off, let me point out that there’s a difference between “addiction” and “dependence”. When we talk about being “addicted to drugs”, we really mean that we are physically dependent on them (such as heroin, crack, etc.) because are bodies MUST have them to go on. You cannot become dependent on marijuana, however, you can become ADDICTED to it, just like you can become addicted to video games or tv. It’s just so fun and/or relaxing that you don’t want to stop. Addiction isn’t as bad as dependence, it’s just a psychological thing. But it’s still a bad thing and this is where the personal responsibility part comes in. I’ve known potheads to graduate top in their class (no kidding, although very few of them did) and I’ve known potheads who barely passed and got their diploma and grew up to be complete losers. Do I think marijuana should be illegal? HELL NO. But do I realize that it has the POTENTIAL to have some negative influence on you? Yes. Will marijuana make you a paranoid retard for the rest of his life who can’t remember what happened 5 minutes ago? No. Could it possibly demotivate you to go on with school or your career because you’re just having too much fun? Yes, it does have that distinct possibility. So ultimately you should be asking yourself this question. Before you started smoking, did you have a future goal in mind, or were you motivated to be successful in the long run? When you smoke, do you feel like this is all you want to do from now on? If the answer to these questions is yes, you might want to put down the joint. But if not, I dunno…it’s your decision.
…and yes, I am aware of all the misguided views about marijuana; how it was illegalized to purposely discriminate against Mexicans, lobbying from oil companies (hemp oil could have driven them out of business), etc., etc. And I know it isn’t as bad as lots of people make it seem. But it isn’t quite butterflies and dandelions either.

The short-term effects of marijuana include:
Distorted perception (sights, sounds, time, touch)
Problems with memory and learning
Loss of coordination
Trouble with thinking and problem-solving
Increased heart rate, reduced blood pressure
Sometimes marijuana use can also produce anxiety, fear, distrust, or panic.
When high doses of marijuana are used, usually when eaten in food rather than smoked, users can experience the following symptoms:
Hallucinations
Delusions
Impaired memory
Disorientation
Smoking marijuana, even infrequently, can cause burning and stinging of the mouth and throat, and cause heavy coughing. Scientists have found that regular marijuana smokers can experience the same respiratory problems as tobacco smokers do, including:
Daily cough and phlegm production
More frequent acute chest illnesses
Increased risk of lung infections
Obstructed airways

Marijuana is illegal for two reasons. The government can not profit it off it, and two because of its association with liberalism.
Don’t quit, screw the law. Only you can decide what is right for you, if you don’t want to do it, don’t. If you do, just don’t drive.
I would also like to acknowledge haileyyy much further down who must be tarded. Welcome special child. Someone might want to get her a helmet, her kind have a tendency to smack their head into walls.
