  1. I think it should be legalized, definitely. I have smoked marijuana…we’ll just say more than once and I have also consumed alcohol more than once. Alcohol is by FAR a more dangerous substance. People are so worried about how they’re going to control who uses it when it’s not nearly the threat that alcohol is.
Legalization in California would mean a tremendous amount of tax dollars for our state, like the Casinos do for Nevada. Tourism would go WAY up because people wouldn’t have to go all the way to Amsterdam to have a legal smoke. They would definitely have to increase border patrol leaving California but that would at least mean a few more jobs.
Unfortunately, we will still have drug dealers because this is their trade and they want to keep their business. Not to mention, there will be people that don’t want to pay whatever the tax will be, therefore, the continued use of drug dealers and the black .market.

  2. Where do you limit its use? Arizona or Oregon people will come here for it…and it is illegal there.
While it might help some people with some problems, what are the 4e effects? Who will prescribe it? The potential for abuse – as with all drugs – is there.
It violates US law – despite the “free trade” amendment. US law says it is not allowed. And I tend to disagree with that, but the Feds and the Courts have upheld it. The Feds took on too much power but the Courts have so far said okay.
I can’t really give you a pro or a con. If you are “pro” then so be it. I am not for it but I can’t give you a list of why nots…

  5. Yes, but not only in California. We need to legalize it in ALL states in the U.S.
