We just discovered that my brother smokes marijuana and he was supposed to donate one of his kidneys to our mom, who goes to dialysis 3 times a week. What are the risks in a situation like this? We are calling the hospital in charge of the surgery. I’m just so concern that I decided to ask here and see what we can find out till we wait for morning to arrive.

Ha! It’s more likely the negative effects are coming from the cannabis.
That reminds me of a friend of mine who was drinking a lot and threw up, he said “I should have known better than to eat any food.”
However, I think vaccines are a little risky and I’d rather avoid them unless it’s absolutely necessary by law or something. I wouldn’t take a flu shot, for example; I usually don’t catch those things anyway. That’s really my personal opinion, though. Some people benefit greatly from vaccines.

The truth of the matter is here in the United States there has been relatively little research on the effects of marijuana in human beings. Much less the effects of marijuana on an unborn fetus. Any supposed implications are hearsay and speculation, and if you are looking for a legitimate answer that has been substatiated by the medical community then unfortunately you will not find an accurate one.
The research that has been done regarding smokers of tobacco cannot be applied to smokers of marijuana because they are two completely different plants. Tobacco cigarettes have hundreds of synthetic ingredients that have been added to them by the manufacturers. You can’t compare apples and oranges. Good luck!

We’re both 16 years old. Smoking weed is understandable while growing up, especially where i live. But I feel like he’s pushing it…a lot. We’ve been together about a year, and he started smoking last summer, because of his older brother’s influence. At first, it was just every now and then. But it’s getting way out of hand. He tells me there’s no problem with it and gives me all these facts about how it doesn’t affect your health. I don’t know how to argue with him, and I feel that i’m becoming a ***** and a nag about it. I smoke too, maybe once a month. I don’t know if i should wait for him to grow out of it, or just leave him. I really really like him a lot. Any ideas?
