Why Is Marijuana Illegal??
im actually just wondering because things like beer and cigs are actually worse or just as bad for you. I mean why does the government not allow it or give us our choice, are they afraid that america will get stupid or somthing? because you cant die from weed or overdose the only bad it does is you can get lung cancer, which i know is bad, but that cant be the reason because the gov lets you smoke cigs which are actually addictive and also cause lung cancer. I understand after smoking weed you loose some brain cells,l but you are allowed to drink alcohol which does the same.
so my main question here is why will they give us free choice on alcohol and cigs but not let us smoke weed, and what do the government get out of this? is it because it makes americans less likley to get lung cancer or do they just not like the fact that it is so easy to grow on your own they wont get any sales tax,

because the most you can get from smoking cigarettes is a lung cancer ( replaceable) and when you get high with marijuana you get crazy and lose reasonable thinking. and you kids are born retarded. so if you wanna smoke something go for cigarettes

the use of marijuana (cannabis sativa L.) is not really banned or prohibited but its use is merely regulated by government. marijuana use is allowed for purposes other than entertainment, it is also used for medicinal purposes. regulation is needed because its abuse may result in more problems for the government, which means more resources used to solve problems, meaning more taxes.
