Will Having A Positive Drug Test (cannabis) Affectmy Chances Of Getting My Student Visa For Australia?
ive already got my place at uni and paid fees and got a flight, this week immigration said i req a medical and chest xray. My bro had to be tested for his marriage visa also but he dont smoke anymore so he was ok. rang immigration for advice but they were crap and really judging, im gonna be honest with the doc an say i smoked it recently. like the answer bout amsterdam thats g8!

My understanding of the law is, you have to be convicted in a court of law for drug related offences. As you have not been, I cant see where the problem lies. You would be amazed at the who’s who in our society who have dabbled on occasion. I would question the doc in a roundabout way. If you are not a persistent user, all signs will have disappeared from your bloodstream by the time your check up date arrives.

I think you are doing fine by taking the first step to see your doc and confessing to him as well.He will be able to help you and i will be delighted if you can go on and quit smoking. Good luck my friend
